How Quadroom adapted a website for scaling: Dobrozem case

Dobrozem is Ukraine's first agricultural land marketplace where land sellers and buyers meet. Over a year, the platform expanded to encompass over 8,000 land plots, and the client approached Quadroom with a request to refine the website design, automate processes, anticipate potential risks, and leave room for future growth.

We worked on the project for an entire year, and it was one of the most technically challenging projects in our portfolio.

Here's how we prepared the site for scaling and what results we achieved.

Before our collaboration:

  • Part of the website functionality wasn't working

  • Automation capabilities for managing large numbers of plots weren't being utilized

  • The design had flaws and needed refinement

  • The system wasn't ready for scaling with growing numbers of plots and managers

The goals set before Quadroom:

  • Analyze and improve the platform's efficiency.

  • Automate processes and anticipate risks for future growth

  • Refine the design and develop a powerful platform for working with large amounts of data

  • Ensure the ability for more than 10 managers to work simultaneously with the system without failures or slowdowns

Before making any important decision, we asked: "What if this number becomes x10 or even x100?" This applied to everything — the number of plots, managers, and traffic. When you have 50-100 products, you can manage them manually. But when there are about 10,000 plots, it's impossible. Dozens of requests and offers can come in simultaneously, while new ones are being published and recently sold ones are being removed.

So the main challenge was scaling the system. Quadroom team needed to organize and provide a convenient admin panel for managers to work with.

Solutions provided by the Quadroom team

To ensure efficient marketplace operation with large volumes of data, we implemented a comprehensive system of automation and integrations.

First and foremost, we needed to automate data synchronization about plots from various sources. For this, we integrated with EOS and CRM systems, and now information updates in real-time without manual intervention from managers. All information about the land plots is sourced from the Vkursi website.

To enable users to instantly see the location of a land plot on a map and assess its attractiveness, we have developed maps with geodata to pinpoint the exact location of each plot.

We worked separately on an automatic data verification system. When information comes from various resources, algorithms automatically detect inaccuracies and duplicates, significantly reducing the load on moderators and ensuring high data quality.

To improve the site's SEO positions, we integrated Chat GPT, which automatically generates optimized descriptions for land plots. This allowed us to improve visibility in search engines without involving additional content managers.

We also developed a smart notification system that informs managers about new applications, changes in deal statuses, and other important events. This allows the team to quickly respond to client requests and not lose potential deals.

Thanks to these solutions, Dobrozem effectively acts as a moderator and guarantor in the trading process, ensuring transparency and fairness of deals even with large volumes of operations.

What did we achieve?

The Quadroom team managed to create a website with a high degree of security that loads in 0.3 seconds and has considerable "strength reserves" for future growth. The system successfully passed testing under increasing loads and proved its reliability.

During our work on the project, our team grew significantly — a technical director joined, the development team expanded, and we gained invaluable experience working with large databases and complex automated systems.

Developing the land marketplace showed how important experience with large databases and automated systems is. Quadroom demonstrated its ability to anticipate and create architecture capable of withstanding growth tens of times.

Today, Dobrozem continues to develop as a reliable platform for land trading, where every participant can safely conduct real estate operations.
